First of all, note the purpose of all adware is to display a lot of intrusive ads and pop-ups in your browser. Then, when you see these ads, click on them or buy anything through them, the distributors of this adware get paid. This is the only reason why Shoppy-Up is spread in the Internet so actively today. There are various people who participate in its distribution on the basis of PPI (pay per install) or PPC (pay per click) program. In other words, the more installations of this adware were done through their links, the more income they get. Likewise, the more click on Shoppy-Up ads were made, the more profit these distributors received.

Notwithstanding the above-said, users whose PCs are contaminated by Shoppy-Up adware aren’t really happy with it. They’re really fed up to see these ads popping up out of the blue. The adware consumes a lot of system resources and causes high CPU usage. As a result, the infected browsers and the PCs in general work extremely slow as a result of this adware inside. It is true that some of these Shoppy-Up ads are relevant to user’s search queries made online. But this doesn’t mean that the adware tries to help them finding what they need. It simply hunts for money to be brought in favor of those who stand behind it.

Shoppy-Up Ads is the problem mainly for browsers like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox mainly. This adware adds its special add-on (extension) into them. Also, you will notice it to be displayed in the list of legally installed applications in your computer. These ads are very pushy especially when you go to various e-commerce websites, such as Walmart, Ebay, Amazon, etc. You will see large advertisement banners displaying ads brought by Shoppy-Up, or simply titled as “Ads by Shoppy-Up”.

Furthermore, this adware may lead you to various third-party websites that may represent danger for your computer. As a matter of fact, these pop-ups may display a lot of misleading information in your computer, which has in mind to make you think your PC is infected. Then such pop-ups will tell you about the need to download and install various applications supposedly to fix these issues. In reality, by downloading and installing them you will bring a lot of other PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) into your computer.
