Trovigo.com is a new browser hijacker attacking many computers today. It is most often spread through other free applications, which are bundled with its installer. As a result of the installation of such bundle you now have trovigo.com set in the homepage of your browser, plus it will also be used as your default search engine. This guide will help you remove trovigo.com from your computer.
If you are an active Internet user you should pay close attention to what programs you install, and what exactly you install together with the initial software of your choice. For example, you could easily download some absolutely free program which may be integrated with other absolutely not necessary extras, such as browser hijackers, add-ons, extensions, etc. If you don’t carefully read the end user license agreements of such free applications, then this is how you actually allow unwanted installations to occur in your PC.
Trovigo.com is the virus attacking major browsers these days, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Other browsers, however, may also be under the attack of it. To have your browser hijacked by Trovigo means that you will permanently have the issue of search engine redirection through this domain. The search queries submitted via Trovigo search aren’t followed by relevant search results, this is why trovigo.com as a pseudo search engine is absolutely useless.
In addition to the above-said weakness of trovigo.com as a search engine, you will also have another problem caused by it. This is the issue of many annoying ads in the forms of banners or sponsored links. The advertisement banners may be placed on the home page of your hijacked browser, whereas the sponsored links may appear together with the search results redirected through trovigo.com. This is why, as you see, you have no other option but to remove Trovigo malware from your browser. To do it effectively please follow the uninstall guidelines below.
